The transition from the four walls of the kitchen to the liberation of gastronomy demands more than an idea. It requires depth, heritage, and an undeniable starting point. The foundation of Philia Wines was not found in a new vineyard. It lies deep in time, where the history of wine meets the contemporary vision. And this journey begins in 1958, in Samos.

The first undertaking of Philia Wines is the rescue and showcasing of a historical treasure, carefully preserved for over 60 years in oak barrels on the island of Samos. Samos possesses a remarkable wine heritage, dating back to 1200 BC. It is world-renowned for its sweet dessert wines made from the Muscat variety. This sweet Muscat, with its intense, lean character, served as the basis for our collaboration with the local cooperative. The tasting of the 60-year-old wine, in partnership with the cooperative’s oenologist, led to the creation of two unique products: SAMOS 1958 and SOLERA. The SOLERA is the culmination of ten successive vintages, from 1958 to 1968. Both are available in an extremely limited number of bottles, ensuring their collector’s value.

These rare bottles confirm the philosophy: Superior quality and Terroir have no expiration date. Only through reverence for history can we create the future. 'Samos 1958' is not merely a wine—it is our foundational act.
